Many women dream of the moment they find their perfect wedding, but for many women who aren’t a “standard size” (whatever that is meant to mean these days!) the wedding dress shopping journey can feel daunting and actually rather stressful.
Whilst high street and online retailers are making great progress in offering a more diverse range of sizes for all shapes of women, the bridal industry can be a slightly more difficult market to tackle if you aren’t ‘standard size’. Since Bridal tends to be a made-to-order service as opposed to off the peg, often only one size of each dress is available to try on and typically this tends to be size 10-14.
Although we have some tricks up our sleeves involving pins, panels, corsetry & bands in order to make our samples work for different body types and sizes, we unfortunately aren’t able to make this approach work for everyone. At Go Bridal we are hugely passionate about making ALL of our brides feel welcome, comfortable, confident, happy and beautiful throughout their experience with us which is why we try to offer a fabulous range of plus size dresses from sizes 16-24 in varying styles to cater for different tastes and looks. We now commit to buying a selection of gowns in these sizes from each collection we buy from, so our plus size range will be always up to date and growing.
Our suppliers and designers also support our desire to cater for everybody and so make many samples available to loan in plus sizes. If there are any dresses you see on either our website or our designers, we encourage you to get in touch to see if we are able to borrow your favourite dresses in for you if we don’t quite have in store what you are looking for.
